Dance Academy
A few of exceptionally bright young people are sought out by the National Dance Academy in Sydney to participate in the school's grueling training program. The story centers on Tara Webster, a farmgirl from a sheep country who dreams of becoming the next great ballerina. Samuel 'Sammy', the Jewish heir of a long line of doctors, and Christian, a minor juvenile delinquent, start out as the group's outsiders but eventually integrate themselves and make new kinds of friends. They are also introduced into the circle of last-year brother Ethan, who already desires to have a future as a choreographer, by the star ballerina's daughter, Kat. In addition, Abigail, a clever young lady who is willing to climb over dead bodies in order to reach the stars, works to undermine the efforts of everyone and everything.
