Cupcake Wars
Cupcake Wars is a reality-based competition show that has been shown on the Food Network since June2010, and it is hosted by Justin Willman. The show focuses on the creation of distinctive and professional-style cupcakes. The show begins with four competitors, who are eliminated one at a time over the course of three rounds, just like in its previous, highly successful show, Chopped. The time slot for the show was on Tuesdays at 8:00 pm Eastern Standard Time (EST) throughout seasons one through three; however, at the start of season four, the time slot shifted to Sundays at 8:00 pm EST. In addition, the show challenges its contestants to construct cupcakes using unique ingredients, and the prize for the winning team is $10,000. Each group has a head chef and an assistant chef working together. On March3,2013, the eighth season of Cupcake Wars began broadcasting on the Food Network.
