Coach Trip is a reality game show that was first aired on Channel 4 from March 7, 2005, all the way through June 30, 2006. After a hiatus of three years, the program was broadcast again on Channel 4 beginning May 25, 2009 and continuing until March 9, 2012. The show went back on hiatus at the beginning of 2013, and it was immediately succeeded with a brand-new show called Brendan's Magical Mystery Tour. But in September of 2013, Channel 4 made the announcement that they will be continuing the Coach Trip series for another season. The format of the show consists of four to seven teams of two people each going on a coach journey primarily across the continent of Europe. The tours have typically lasted between 30 and 50 days, during which time travellers remain on the tour only until they are kicked off by their traveling partners on a single day. The passengers are then replaced by a new couple on the day after that. Brendan Sheerin, the tour guide, makes an appearance in each and every episode, and he is with the travelers the entire time.
