Futaba Yoshioka unexpectedly runs into her first love, Kou Tanaka, during the conclusion of her first year of high school. This fortuitous meeting brings up a flood of memories for Futaba. Before she could tell him how she felt about him, he moved schools three years ago and left her in the dark about her emotions. After they had not seen each other for a long time, Futaba was surprised to see how much he had changed. He has even gone so far as to change his surname to Mabuchi in an attempt to improve his coolness factor. While doing so, the two begin to piece together what took place during the period that they were away while gradually reigniting their love for one another.
