London Weekend Television's Blind Date was a British dating game show. Cilla Black, who had previously hosted the LWT series Surprise, Surprise, was chosen to host the pilot, which was not shown to the general public. From 30 November 1985 to 31 May 2003, Blind Date aired on Saturday nights. Black's 50 years in the entertainment profession will be commemorated with a special one-off episode of Blind Date airing at the end of 2013. Presented by Paul O'Grady, The One and Only Cilla Black, this one-off will be part of a larger show. It is hoped that some of the most memorable participants from past seasons would be brought back for a second attempt at winning love.
