The competitors in a BattleBots event are remote-controlled, armed, and armored machines that fight in an arena combat elimination competition. If both combat robots are still functioning at the end of the match, a point system based on damage, aggression, and strategy is used to determine the winner. For five seasons, the American cable network Comedy Central broadcasted BattleBots, which followed five BattleBots competitions. The first season premiered in August 2000, followed by the fifth season in August 2002. Former Baywatch actresses Donna D'Errico, Carmen Electra, and Traci Bingham, former Playboy Playmate Heidi Mark, and identical twins Randy and Jason Sklar served as hosts and journalists for BattleBots.
