There is no "ace striker" or "number four batter" in rugby, so who is the team's best player? The story starts at the first day of school at Kanagawa High School, where Kenji Gion, a small but brave go-getter, joins the rugby club. He joins with his classmate Iwashimizu, who has a complicated past, and the sub-captain Hachiouji, who always takes good care of his Club members. Captain Sekizan is the last character. He has a lot of power, but he keeps his cards close to his chest. With so many different personalities and levels of physical ability, the team must learn to work and improve together in order to be the best.
