After the Rain
Akira Tachibana is a soft-spoken high school girl who used to be a member of the track and field club but is now unable to run as quickly as she once could owing to an accident. As a last resort, she works part-time at a family restaurant and falls inexplicably in love with her manager, a divorced 45-year-old guy with a young son. Despite the age difference, Akira embraces his idiosyncrasies and gentle attitude, which the other employees interpret as spinelessness, and the two gradually come to understand each other. Although she is unable to define why she is drawn to him, Akira feels that a specific reason is not required to love someone. On a gloomy day, she resolves to tell her boss how she really feels...but how will he react?
