800 Words
A newly widowed father decides to leave his job as a popular 800 word columnist for a Sydney newspaper that is one of the best sellers in the city. He buys a house in a sleepy coastal hamlet in New Zealand on the spur of the moment while browsing the internet. After that, he is obligated to convey the news to his two teenage children, who have recently suffered the loss of their mother and now face an even more uncertain future. His desire for a fresh start is thwarted, however, by the colorful and curious natives.
