'6teen,' an original Teletoon comedy series from Canada, debuted on Canadian television in 2004. 6teen premiered on Nickelodeon in the United States on December 18, 2005, and was taken off the schedule on May 13, 2006. Reruns of 6teen aired from December 26, 2005, to July 28, 2006, on The N; the show reappeared as a 24-hour channel on December 31, 2007, and remained there until June 21, 2008. The US version of 6teen was first broadcast on Cartoon Network on October 23, 2008. Originally premiering on Cartoon Network on October 23, 2008, 6teen was dropped from the lineup in mid-November 2009 after only a few episodes. After its series finale on June 21st, 2010, it was once again taken off the air, this time with less regular airings. It was just for a month in January 2011 that Cartoon Network aired 6teen, however the show was then canceled along with other cancelled shows. Popgirl sometimes airs it. Brian Melo performed an acoustic rendition of the show's theme song in the finale, "Bye Bye Nikki? Part 2." 93 episodes of 6teen were produced before the show came to a close. The DVD and iTunes versions of the film have been released in both Canada and the US. Both Pertsch and McGillis expressed an interest in the possibility of a two-hour reunion television special or feature film, even though the show had come to an end by then. Currently, it is not on Cartoon Network's schedule, however some episodes are available on Cartoon Network on Demand in select places. On January 3, 2011, 6teen returned with reruns to Teletoon, where it airs weekend mornings at 3:00 a.m. EST, and recently returned to its former weekday schedule at 7:00 p. EST. There is also a streaming option for this show on Netflix in both the United States and the United Kingdom.
