You're Telling Me!

Sam Bisbee is an inventor whose creations (such as a keyhole finder for drunks) have brought him nothing but a life of abject destitution. The snobby local resident's son is head over heels in love with the father's daughter. Just as it seemed like he was getting close to success, a series of unfortunate events conspired to destroy his bulletproof tire. Sam is unable to commit suicide as a result of one of his other creations, so he makes the decision to continue living.
