Wild River
A young TVA field supervisor arrives in rural Tennessee to supervise the construction of a dam on the Tennessee River. He faces criticism from the locals, particularly a farmer who protests to his employment (for pay) of local black laborers. The eviction of an elderly woman from her home on an island in the River, and the young man's love connection with that woman's bereaved granddaughter, are central to the plot.
