Vineland
A short experimental documentary is shot at the last drive-in theater in Los Angeles, in the City of Industry. Overlaid with displaced Hollywood pictures, the radio broadcast soundtrack collides with the projections on and surrounding the many screens, resulting in a surreal, apocalyptic atmosphere. Its midnight landscape is a dreamy border zone, displaying overlapping realities of nostalgia and alienation.
