Unthinkable

A convert to Islam sends the US government a videotape of himself in three unassuming storage rooms, each of which could hold a nuclear weapon slated to explode in less than a week. Helen Brody, an FBI agent in Los Angeles, is tasked with locating the devices, while a CIA "consultant" identified only as H interrogates the suspect who has allowed himself to be apprehended. The suspect, whose wife and children have abandoned him and vanished, appears to be well aware of the nature of the questioning. Despite H's increasing pressure and use of torture against Brody's objections, the suspect remains unbreakable. Will Brody agree if H does the unthinkable? Is there any constitutional principle worth the risk of death?
