Marko and Blacky are two shady businessmen who operate a black market in Belgrade during World War II. They make and sell weapons to the Communist opposition while living the high life. As a result of Marko's bizarre double life, he quickly rose through the ranks of the Communist Party, and in the end, he betrayed Blacky and stole his girlfriend. During the Yugoslavian Civil War of the 1990s, the couple emerges from hiding after spending a significant amount of time in an underground shelter. Marko has come to the conclusion that the circumstances is ideal for being exploited.
