Under the Hawthorn Tree

Schoolgirl Jing Qiu (Zhou Dong-Yu), who is the daughter of a right-winger, is exiled to the countryside for the sake of reeducation and is given the responsibility of assisting in the writing of a textbook. There, she makes the acquaintance of Lao San, a young soldier played by Shawn Dou who has an exciting future in front of him.
