Turning Tide
It's a dream come true for Yann Madec, the longtime best friend of Frank Drevil, the star captain of Global System Insurance, when he replaces an injured Frank at the start of the Vendée Globe. When Yann's center-board breaks nine days into the race, he's forced to halt in Cape Verde to fix it. A Senegalese adolescent, identified Moussa by Yann, is found stowed away on board. With the threat of disqualification due to Moussa's presence, Yann hesitates... They meet, and it leads to the most memorable round-the-world race in history.
