As running the Benbow Inn with his mother, young Jim Hawkins meets Captain Billy Bones, who dies while the inn is besieged by buccaneers headed by Blind Pew. The buccaneers had come after Billy Bones' treasure map, which Jim and his mother discovered. Jim agrees to set sail on the S.S. Espaniola with Squire Trelawney and Dr. Livesey in search of the riches on a secret island with Squire Trelawney and Dr. Livesey. Long John Silver, the ship's cook and scaliwag, leads a mutiny of crew members who want the riches for themselves when they arrive on the island. Jim assists the Squire and officers of the Espaniola in surviving the mutiny and fighting back against Silver's soldiers who have taken control of the Espaniola.
