Top Cat and the gang are confronted with a new police chief, who is dissatisfied with Officer Matute's (Officer Dibble) performance and is wary of Top Cat's schemes. The new police chief, Lucas Buenrostro, has a lot of technology, and his true goal is to take over the city and impose ludicrous regulations. Will put the Top Cat and the rest of the gang, as well as cop Matute, to the test (Dibble). The film was released by Warner Bros. Pictures' Latin American division (whose parent company, Time Warner, controls Turner Entertainment, which acquired Hanna-Barbera in1990), but no word from WB on whether the film will be released in theaters in the United States. The film has become one of the most successful Mexican films ever, grossing $108 million pesos (about $7,929,515 dollars) in its fifth week.
