Mark Jansen, a widower, owns and operates the local newspaper in the Midwest town where he grew up. Even though he is struggling to make ends meet, his daughter decides to take matters into her own hands by visiting the famed wishing well that their small town is famous for and wishing for him to be happy. In the next days and weeks, Cynthia Tamerline, an attractive woman from the city, appears. Cynthia, accompanied by Mark's kid, makes her way to the well and makes a wish. It is only when she awakens the next morning that she discovers that she has been transferred to an alternate dimension, where she will be changed for the rest of her life.
