Ex-Union Colonel John Henry Thomas and ex-Confederate Colonel James Langdon lead two disparate groups of people through strife-torn Mexico following the Civil War. Langdon is leading a contingent of displaced southerners looking for a new life in Mexico after losing their property to carpetbaggers. John Henry and company are bringing horses to the unpopular Mexican government for $35 per head, while John Henry and company are leading a contingent of displaced southerners looking for a new life in Mexico. As they try to take their friends and kin to safety, the two men are forced to put their differences aside in order to fight off both robbers and revolutionaries.
