The Third Man

In Vienna, Austria, after World War II, Holly Martins, a writer of pulp Westerns, goes to stay with his childhood friend Harry Lime, but finds out that Lime has died. Martins comes up with a conspiracy theory after hearing that there was a "third man" at the scene of Harry's death, getting in the way of a British officer named Major Calloway, and falling in love with Harry's grieving girlfriend, Anna.
