The Sweeney

The Sweeney, an action-packed British police thriller from the director of Football Factory, is based on the 1970s UK TV show. A crook from Jack Regan's past confronts the hardened cop (Ray Winstone) who doesn't play by the rules. George Carter (Ben Drew aka Plan B) and the duo are put on the case of a jewelry store robbery that ends in a murder. In other words, is that killing an execution disguised? It's not going to be easy for Regan to keep out of trouble with the pressure from his boss and the fact that he's having an affair with his boss's wife.
