The Star
The film is based on the Emmanuil Kazakevich novel of the same name. In the summer of1944, the Nazi armies construct a large Tank Division dubbed "Viking" for an invasion against captured Russian territory. The Russian Army's special unit of seven shooters, codenamed "Zvezda," is assigned a reconnaissance mission behind enemy lines in the rear of the Nazi Tank Division. Two earlier Russian ensembles disbanded and were never heard from again. The seven Russians are fully aware that they are risking their lives for Victory.
