The Silent House

Laura (Florencia Colucci) and her father Wilson (Gustavo Alonso) travel to a remote cottage to restore it before its owner (Abel Tripaldi) sells it. They'll spend the night there before beginning repairs the next morning. Everything appears to be normal until Laura hears a sound coming from outside that grows louder and louder in the house's top story. Wilson ascends to investigate, while she waits below alone, waiting for her father to return. The tale is based on a true story from the 1940s in a small Uruguayan town. La casa muda concentrates on the final seventy-eight minutes, second by second, as Laura attempts to flee the house uninjured and uncovers the mansion's dark truth.
