The Scalphunters

With all of his hides from the previous winter, Trapper Joe is on his way to town. A gang of Indians, however, interrupts him and removes all of his hides, leaving him with the runaway slave Joseph. Joe, on the other hand, is uninterested in Joseph and is desperate to reclaim his land. Before he can act, a party of scalphunters led by Howie raids the Indians. They capture not just the hides but also Joseph. Joe is now following them alone, attempting to deceive the numerically stronger gang.
