Seyi, a Nigerian-American of 24 years old, works on Wall Street. He commits insider trading, which brings his entire world tumbling down on him. Desperate to achieve because of his outsider status—due to class and race—he commits a crime that brings his entire world crashing down on him. Seyi's perplexing circumstances lead him to face his rocky relationship with his dying father, his sexual relationship with his affluent white girlfriend, and his ethnic and immigrant backgrounds—with nothing less than his soul at stake.
