Shane Johnson plays documentary filmmaker Michael King in the movie. He doesn't believe in God or the Devil, so he doesn't make films about them. Following his wife's untimely demise, Michael decides to make his next film about the search for the supernatural, making himself the subject of the experiment–allowing demonologists, necromancers, and various practitioners of the occult to attempt the most infernal and darkest spells and rituals they can find on him–in the hope that when they fail, he'll have conclusive proof that religion, spiritualism, and the paranormal are all myth.
