The Pianist

Wladyslaw Szpilman, a musician, recounts his experiences in Warsaw during the Nazi occupation. When the Jews of the city are pushed into a ghetto, Szpilman plays at a café. When his family is deported in1942, he stays behind, works as a worker, and eventually hides in the war-torn city.
