The year is 2961, and humanity and nature have reclaimed the land. Cygnus, a hunter, is summoned to go above and beyond his responsibilities. He looks after Last Arc, a once nomadic band of survivors in desperate need of food and water, both of which are becoming increasingly scarce. Before a horde of outlandish Heretics descends on them, the answer must be found. To protect his people, Cygnus must travel across the perilous landscape. Sent by Nova, the band's matriarch, she acts on her vision for Cygnus to find a seed of hope. Last Arc's future is up to him to discover, so Cygnus ventures into a hostile landscape in search of an answer for his people. During his journey through many traps and dangers, Cygnus discovers that what has been hunting him is his identity.
