The Ninth Configuration
Colonel Vincent Kane is a military psychiatrist in charge of an isolated castle-based military mental health facility. Capt. Billy Cutshaw is one of Kane's many eccentric patients, a disturbed astronaut who is in the midst of an existential crisis. Kane's mental stability is called into doubt, but that doesn't stop him from engaging Cutshaw in a series of profound discussions about science and faith that have a lasting impact on their lives.
