The Naked Spur
Long before this, Howard Kemp has been on the trail of the murderer Ben Vandergroat. While he is in the Colorado Rockies, he joins forces with the prospector Jesse Tate and the veteran Union soldier Roy Anderson. They agree to help for a modest price under the assumption that Kemp is a sheriff. When they finally catch Vandergroat, he tells them that Kemp is trying to collect a $5,000 bounty on his head. After making their demands for equal shares, the shaky alliance travels to Kansas while Vandergroat attempts to pit them against one another.
