One of Ed's father's hunting rifles went off as a child, killing his mother and injuring him. It was a birthday surprise for the old man. When his father saw the blood, he went into a rage and tried to kill everyone. Ed was very lucky to escape with his life. His father is still there, but he doesn't expect to see him. He wants to settle the score.
