An ancient Egyptian priest by the name of Imhotep is brought back to life after his mummy is discovered during an archaeological dig and one of the archaeologists makes a mistake while reading a life-giving spell from the past. Imhotep manages to get away from the excavation site and begins his search for the reincarnation of the spirit of his former sweetheart.
