The Man from Snowy River
Jim Craig was born and raised on his father's farm in the Australian mountains for the first 18 years of his life. Because of his father's death, he is forced to work in the lowlands in order to earn enough money to put the farm back on its feet. Kirk Douglas portrays two characters: twin brothers who haven't spoken to one other in years, one of whom was Jim's father's best friend, and the other of whom is the father of the girl he wants to marry. Kirk Douglas plays both roles brilliantly.
