The Life and Death of Colonel Blimp

General Candy, who is in command of an English squad in1943, is a veteran leader who lacks the respect of the men he is training and is regarded as out of touch with what is required to win the war. But it wasn't always this way. We see a dashing young officer whose life has been shaped by three different women, as well as a lasting friendship with a German soldier, in flashbacks to his early career in the Boer War and World War I.
