In 1985, Macoto Tezka (son of legendary manga creator Osamu Tezuka) met musician and TV personality Haruo Chicada, who had created a soundtrack for a film that never existed: The Legend of the Stardust Brothers. Macoto was 22 years old, a film student with many short experimental films under his belt but no feature film debut, and of course the TEZUKA moniker. Tezka then turned this “fake soundtrack” into the genuine movie plot of “The Stardust Brothers” with Chicada as producer.
