Golfer Rannulph Junuh has been reduced to a poker-playing alcoholic as a result of World War I, and his immaculate swing has been lost. Now, though, he must reclaim it in order to compete in a competition in order to salvage the financially stricken golf course of a long-lost childhood sweetheart.
