One day two years after the events of the Fourth Great Ninja War, a moon made by Hagoromo Otsutsuki to keep the Gedo Statue safe starts to fall toward the Earth, threatening to destroy everything when it hits. Direct ancestor Kaguya Otsunuki, Toneri Otsunuki, tries to get hold of Hinata Hyuga but ends up taking her younger sister Hanabi with him as well.
