The King's Speech

The King's Speech is a biography of King George VI, the father of Queen Elizabeth II. George ('Bertie') reluctantly accepts the kingdom upon the abdication of his brother. Bertie, plagued by a terrible stutter and deemed unsuited for the throne, seeks the assistance of an unconventional speech therapist, Lionel Logue. Bertie is able to find his voice and courageously lead the country into battle as a consequence of a series of unexpected techniques and an improbable friendship.
