Tae-su, who comes from an impoverished household, learns that power is the most essential thing in life and intends to become a prosecutor, the most powerful emblem of the 1990s. Tae-su ultimately achieves his dream of becoming a prosecutor after joining Korea's most prominent law school and suffering democratic resistance, but his life is no better than that of a salary man. He accidentally joins a group of wealthy and powerful prosecutors. He finally gets a taste of life at the top, but as much as he appreciates the pleasure of power, he also sees its harsh side.
