Augusta meets two renegade, inebriated soldiers on a mission of pillage and violence in this radically remade American Western set near the conclusion of the Civil War. Augusta returns to the lonely home she occupies with her sister Louise and their female slave Mad after escaping an attempted assassination. As the growing attacks become more unpredictable and persistent, the trio of women are forced to pick up guns to ward off their assailants, finding ways to resourcefully protect their home––and themselves––as the soldiers chase Augusta down determined on getting revenge.
