The Island of Cats
Daikichi is a 70-year-old guy who resides on a small island with his family. He has been living with his cat Tama since his wife died. Daikichi was born and reared on the little island and spends his free time with his childhood buddies Iwao and Tama. Daikichi has a son named Tsuyoshi who currently resides in Tokyo. Tsuyoshi is concerned about his father's isolation on the island, while Daikichi is satisfied with his lot in life. Following the death of a close friend, Daikichi becomes concerned about his physical state. His routine begins to shift. Based on the manga "Neko to Jiichan."
