Bobby is not allowed to join heaven after dying in a car accident, and must instead remain in one of the lower levels until he has worked long enough as a guardian angel to merit paradise. Lenny, a smart boy who adores his classmate Sharon, the most attractive girl in the class, is one of his duties. However, she is completely unaware that he is on the verge of suicide. Bobby stops this by dressing Lenny up as a playboy and tough person in order to achieve what he wants, although knowing that this is not the greatest option.
