After a political objection goes wrong, Dorothy, a liberal speechwriter on an U.S. Senate campaign, locates herself unemployed as well as living back in her conservative Texas hometown with her estranged grandfather. Dorothy soon finds out that her childhood nemesis, Brent, is running for workplace as the single Republican politician prospect.
