The Guard
Both an unconventional Irish cop and a strict FBI agent must work together to take down an international drug smuggling ring. Sergeant Gerry Boyle is a combative and rude small-town cop with a subversive sense of humor. Boyle, a long-serving officer in Galway, has his own set of values. He's seen enough of the world to realize it's not much, and he's thought about it. When a fellow cop goes missing and Boyle's little town becomes a vital player in a major drug trafficking investigation, he has to at least pretend to care when dealing with stoic FBI agent Wendell Everett.
