Britt Reid (Seth Rogen), the heir of the largest newspaper fortune in Los Angeles, is a pampered, aimless playboy. After his father (Tom Wilkinson) passes away, Britt meets the smart company employee Kato (Jay Chou). Britt and Kato join forces as costumed crime fighters to bring down the city's most powerful criminal, Chudnofsky, when they realize they have the ability and means to make something of their lives (Christoph Waltz).
