The General

Annabelle Lee is aboard a boxcar tied to The General when it is stolen by Union spies during the American Civil War. Johnnie Gray must do all in his ability to recover The General and save Annabelle. This silent comedy-action film, which was released throughout most of the world in 1927, was a financial failure when it was first made but is today considered one of the greatest American films of all time. Historical events are used as a basis for the story.
