Ben becomes a caregiver to make money after suffering a catastrophe. Trevor, his first client, is a witty 18-year-old with muscular dystrophy. Ben and Trevor, emotionally and physically crippled, set out for the western states. The people they meet along the route will help them put their survival skills to the test outside of their planned existence.
