The Fortress
In the 17th century, Korea was ruled by a monarchy. When the Qing dynasty's first ruler takes power, the mighty Khan of the Jurchen tribe of Manchuria insists that the king of Joseon bow down to him, but he refuses since he is still loyal to the Ming dynasty. At Namhan, the Qing horde invades Joseon on December14,1636, thus King In-jo, his court, and their families take refuge and prepare to defend the country.
